Slip, trip or fall

Slips and trips are often trivialised but a high proportion of them result in serious injury such as broken bones. If you have been injured as a result of one of the following, or anything similar, we would like to hear from you:

  • tripping on a defective pavement
  • slipped on a wet floor in a shop, school, hospital or other public place
  • driving or riding over a pothole
  • injured in a playground or sports facility
  • slipped on fuel in a garage forecourt

Repetitive Strain Injury

Repetitive stress injuries usually come about through overuse of the hands, wrists, arms or shoulders on a repeated usually daily basis, resulting in injury to the muscles. This causes inflammation that never gets the chance to recover because the everyday activities invariably continue.

The computer keyboard and mouse are commonly blamed but poor posture and sitting position are also contributory factors.

Although generally treatable in its early stages, it can and has resulted in people having to give their jobs up.

Industrial diseases

If you have an industrial disease that is directly attributable to your conditions of employment then we may be able to help. Examples include mining related illnesses, vibration white finger and asbestos related diseases.

Injuries to children

We have a great deal of experience in acting for injured children.

If you are an adult a claim for an injury usually has to be made within three years of the accident. If you are a child the three year ‘limitation period’ does not apply until the child is eighteen, which means that a claim can be started for an injury sustained at any age up to the child’s twenty first birthday.
